Answers to common questions about working with Adeel Ahmad & Co.
Can I start with just one service?
Yes. You can start with one or two services (typically accounting and tax) and add payroll, HR or CFO support later. Each service is scoped and priced separately in your engagement letter.
My records are incomplete or several years behind. Is that a problem?
Yes. We start with a catch-up engagement: rebuild records from bank statements and invoices, file overdue returns, answer pending notices, then move you onto a clean monthly routine.
Will you explain what the numbers mean?
That’s the point of our monthly review. You get a management pack with plain-English commentary and a call with your Chartered Accountant on what the numbers mean and what to do next.
I’ve received a tax notice. What should I do?
Don’t ignore it: in Pakistan, for example, notices under sections 114(4), 122, 176 or 177 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 have strict deadlines. Send us a copy and we’ll explain it and prepare the response.
Does my company need an audit: and can you do it?
Companies under the Companies Act, 2017 generally need an annual audit by a practising Chartered Accountant firm. We provide audits subject to ICAP independence requirements, and will tell you upfront which services we can provide together.
How do fees work?
Fixed fees agreed in a written engagement letter before work starts. Where you have a previous accountant or auditor, we obtain professional clearance as required by the ICAP Code of Ethics before accepting the engagement.
Working across borders?
We run remote finance functions for businesses worldwide: and help foreign investors set up, stay compliant and report with confidence in Pakistan.
Remote finance function
Bookkeeping, month-end close, virtual CFO and group reporting to IFRS, US GAAP or UK FRS 102.
Learn more →Setting up in Pakistan
Company, branch or liaison office set-up, tax, audit and profit repatriation for foreign investors.
Learn more →Overseas Pakistanis
Pakistani tax returns, property and investment income: handled entirely online.
Learn more →Ready for numbers you can trust?
